I own a DS Lite and I really like it, but the other day I played a DS (original) and it was a lot mor comfortable for me. The only problem was that the stylus was hard to get to and the screen was very dull. Other than that, I thought it was almost as good as the DS Lite.
Soo, which DS do you like and why?

Well, for functionality reasons, I like DS-lite better because it has a longer battery life on the lowest light setting, and the lowest light setting is actually brighter than the DS. The microphone is positioned better for games that use it, and the overall look and feel is pretty good.
However, I REALLY like the feel of the DS, because it doesn't dig into my palm quite as much on games like Mario Kart and MPH when I used to own it(which was a disappointment for DS-L because I had hoped it would alleviate that). Not to mention, the thing is built like a TANK, and actually feels really sturdy and durable.
I actually have both. I thought about getting rid of the DS when the DSl came out, but I liked being able to transfer back and forth if I needed to, or maybe play a Single-Card multiplayer with someone else(although that never happens, really)......plus, I can be lazy and have one game in one DS, and not have to switch out to play another game. And the one GBA game I still own(Pokemon Leaf Green) fits much better in the DS(but I'll switch it into the DS-L for Pokemon Pearl.....if I ever GET that far to actually use it z_z;; ).

Yeah, thats the other thing. When playing a normal DS it feels really strong. It seams like it would not break even if you dropped it. On the DSL however, i am scared that if it falls of my desk or somthing that a peice might fall out. Don't get me wrong though. The DS lite is still super awesome.

DS Lite.
The only thing that the DS Fat has over the DS Lite is that the DS Lite has lower sound quality.

DS Lite for me as well.
I prefer the brighter screen, the bigger stylus (although that isn't necessarily a DS Lite feature...), and the longer battery life. It seems sleeker too, but I hate how I feel that the Lite is so fragile.

I think I would like the lite more if it was made from a different material. Whenevr I play my lite for more than an hour it gets sticky....:p

When playing games that came before DSL, ON the Lite, colors are messed up. Phat is comfortable, D-pad is large. Lite has a small D-pad and buttons get loose easily after time or extensive use. DSL light setting so muc better than the Phat at it's best light setting. Stylus on DSL is easier to take out, more comfortable to hold.

That's a good point.. The lighting settings being changeable is something I really like to take advantage of. If I'm playing right before bedtime in bed I like it on it's darkest setting. If it's daytime outside or somewhere with bright lights I want it at it's fullest brightness.

I got my DS when they first came out. Quite some time after the DS lite's release I traded my DS in for it. At first I missed my old DS because it was more comfortable to hold, but over time I got use to the lite and I haven't played the old DS in such a LONG time I would have to go with the lite I guess.

Well I had both and although I don't like how the DS Lite is not as comfortable as the original that is about all I don't like about it. The DS Lite is better in most other catagories IMO.
