This coming Sunday (the 27th) is the release of Mario Kart Wii.

IGN said that the online functionality surpasses Brawl's, as there is no lag and users can check what their friends are doing on the Mario Kart Channel (which can be downloaded from the Game Disc).
That being said, it seems Mario Kart would be easier to have tournaments with since the online functions better.

I could host this competition. Or, if HackerHater would like to take over, he may.

How many would be willing to play?

Oh, and the review is here: (IGN) http://wii.ign.com/articles/868/868012p1.html

 I'd love to beat everyone here... uh,I mean play in an online tournament. However I won't be getting MKWii when it comes out. GTA4 comes out the same week and I'll be getting it instead.
 I wouldn't trust IGN when they say that there is no lag in MKWii's online matches. Sakurai made similar claims on the Smash Bros. Dojo and besides, I've yet to play a game online that did not suffer from some lag.

Yes, well IGN said Brawl DID have lag, so I can trust them with the issue.

 Well I certainly hope IGN is right, I just prefer a wait and see stance.

I MIGHT go to the midnight-release this time, but I dunno.  Mine said that it was iffy, and didn't know if they'd have anything for us to do(and I still don't know if I want to be around the type of people around here who'd bother to go, really).

BUT I'll have it by that Sunday at the very least, so I should be able to go on with it.  Won't have Daisy by then, but oh wells...I'll find someone else to 'main' with... >_>;

Definantly not taking over for this one. I'm still kinda confused on how to get a good match going without lag in brawl. I will definantly join though.

I think there will always be a tiny amount of lag in Brawl.  Honestly, sometimes it fizzles out after the first 10 seconds, and sometimes you just personally adjust to it.

I even had a With Anyone match recently, and aside from a few stutters, it went just fine.  I have no clue where they were, but I doubt we all just happen to live in the same state/town/region.  I kind of like the idea of having to adjust for it though..but, as far as SSBB tourneys go, you're just going to have to use the most simple stages as you can, and still expect at least some lag.  *shrug*

 I've had Brawl lag so badly that the last five seconds of the match lasted nearly a minute.
