Anyone played it? I'm just starting out.. this thing is FUN! I might even draw some yoshis from it. I like the feel of it. The difficulty level seems to be just right so far too. It's a challenge at times (ok, for ME it is) but not so much that I can't progress.

I love the art style of it too

For some reason, I was really put off by the graphics, as well as the music....
...

...why?  Because I liked the original much, MUCH better.  Besides that, I feel like the graphics were altered heavily....whereas on the SNES everything looked similar and matched, in the DS game it seems like the sprites are obviously different from the backgrounds....everything is too 'clean'.  I don't know how else to describe it, but it seems like the "cartoonish child-drawn world" is no longer there like it was on the SNES, and even in the Yoshi Touch & Go game(which I still have).

And the music....well, it pops, but again it's too 'clean', doesn't really match what's going on, and isn't quite as good as the SNES game in my opinion.

.....buuuuuuut yeah, as far as actual gameplay goes, it wasn't too bad really. It just really felt like the game was a quick throw-away, especially since they had someone else make the game, rather than in-house development.  I never finished it before I took it back, but a part of me wishes I still had it, I guess...
