I just happened to come across this on ebay and after a bit of research it seemingly came out with the May issues of Nintendo Power . . .

in 2008

wtf?  I didn't get one!?     I'm just wondering if anyone actually got this as I'm a bit ticked I didn't.  There's some cool postage going on in there!  I really don't want to think Future's screwing me this early.  I'm already sad enough to have them, I don't need anything more.

Oh, and was there ever a holiday issue?  Did I miss that too?  I seem to recall them talking about there being an extra issue around the holidays . . .

They were handing out those stupid 'Phantom Hourglass' guidebooks as a 'reward' for resubscribing(I didn't want or NEED one), but then when they ran out, as a thank-you they sent out THOSE, which is almost what I'd rather have had.

OH, so they handed it out as a gift for subscribing?

Man, I got the PH guide.    I think I'd have rather had the posters too . . .

Well that's lame.  I'd rather have the poster book.  Then I could justify buying the hardback book guide for PH to complete the set with my TP one!

I don't know, NP's lost it's intimacy with the move to Future.  I don't really feel as connected to it as I used to back in the day.

I *didn't* resubscribe, but I got the poster book with the May issue....  I actually didn't notice it until right now since I haven't opened the plastic casing yet.

I didn't get that poster collection in that issue...I wonder why. I haven't resubscribed, so that could be it.

I got the poster supplement like 2 or 3 weeks ago. I renewed my subscription back in April or so and was supposed to get a Phantom Hourglass guide as my "reward" for subscribing. I didn't really want that stinking guide. About 3 weeks ago, I got the poster booklet with a note that said something to the effect of "Sorry, we ran out of Phantom Hourglass guides so we are sending this poster supplement instead!" The poster supplement is such a better gift, I think they should have just gave that to everyone who is resubscribing from the get-go ... or at least have it as an option. Some of the posters are duplicates of posters that have been given in older Nintendo Power issues, but it's still a much cooler gift than some guide nonetheless.

I'm glad they ran out of Phantom Hourglass guides and gave me this poster supplement instead. It just sucks for those who actually got the guide and would have preferred this gift instead.

I picked the guide, not because I really needed it, but because it was Zelda.  That's pretty much it.

I did manage to get the hardback prima guide for PH today.  XD

Yeah, I got the TP guide for Christmas a few years ago and it came with a cloth map of TP Hyrule!  Sure, it was a bit too game based (had all the items and whatnot on it), but it was cool.  The PH one comes with a leather bookmark and a paperback little story pamphlet about the game.
