Eh heh, well I got my issue of Nintendo Power today with the Mad World cover . . .

with the Poster Supplement!  Eh heh.    I feel kinda' dumb.  I have to say, somehow, with this 20th anniversary issue I feel more connected to NP then I ever have since Future took over.  Just felt like they were pointing out that they were new and gave credit to those that came before.  All too often they use "we" when they shouldn't and I didn't get that from this issue.

I don't know why, but I'm feeling far more Nintendo friendly today.

Huh.  Well it'd be nice if I got one, seeing as how this next one is my last(meh, still no income, and I get more than 80% of all of that stuff on the internet obviously, although I do like their writing SOMEtimes).  Although really I don't even need more posters, but it's the thought at least.

I got the poster supplement, but I have yet to get my 20th Anniversary NP. Maybe it will come this week...

So true.  Last time I checked, they only published month-old news and really slanted reviews...  They even stopped writing game strategies because everyone could find better ones on the internet.  Mostly I only read the magazine for the Pulse, but now that Future is writing the column, it doesn't feel the same....  Boo.. There's only a few more issues left for me, and I still don't see myself renewing.

It was nice seeing Nester make his 'return' briefly in the 20th Anniversary issue(which IS my last one), but I doubly-agree Hippo that it's just not the same.  I do like their writing style, and they DID break the news on Megaman 9......also, I was into Printing Technologies in High School so I kinda do like to have solid, physical magazines/books than internet.  But a thousand times over, the internet will have it first, and 'free', and the games they showcase will usually eventually come out and then you can see them and play them for yourself.  I miss the days of full-scale maps, strategies, Top Tens, and when it was the only source for it, previews of upcoming games.

Now it's just like... 'we realize you get the information early already, so let's make fun of it with not-so-witty-puns'.  I'd rather their redeeming quality had been 'keeping NSider the way it was', since giving up Nintendo Power was apparently the main reason for closing it.  Then they'd at least have something to actually put in the Community section at the end.

...and even tho some were saying they got the Posters even though they didn't renew, I didn't.   Oh well, not like I NEED posters, but it's irritating that this issue didn't even have one(and it seems like some before it didn't have one either).

Future's begging  to get me to resubscribe, yet I don't find the magazine worth it nor do I need a Phantom Hourglass guide. Now if I was promised a book of posters like that on the other hand...

Seriously, Future stinks with there subscription pushes.
