Alright I'm giving into the reccomendations, I'll try a new Castlevania game but I don't know which to get. Being a Nintendo fanboy I can only play ones on Nintendo systems seeing I don't have any other systems.

I've only tried the original and Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. The former is the hardest game I've ever played. The gameplay mechanics make it almost impossible to beat, and if you get a gameover, you have to start from the beginning again.. So only get that if you are extremely patient or want a challenge...
CotM was actually really fun. It had an interesting card collecting system which allowed you to use different power-ups. Most of the time cards and RPGs don't mix, but I think it worked well here. It was kind of interesting how to cards matched up, and they helped personalized the game for me. So, yeah, I'd recommend it.
(That goes for Timey too, if he's reading this.)

I don't know, I might go with Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge or an older 2D one. I'm not keen on a game being RPG heavy. I don't really enjoy said genre.

It's not RPG heavy... it just has elements of the genre. It's mainly a platformer/adventure game.
Anyway, I recommend Aria of Sorrow, or Dawn of Sorrow, both are done well.

I'd recommend Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow or Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance. Those are both on GBA. They do have like RPG-like elements, but they aren't as RPG heavy as Circle of the Moon. I'm not a big RPG fan myself, and I LOVE C:AoS and C:HoD. Both of these games are very Metroid-esque in ways as well. You'll be back tracking through the castle as you get new weapons and abilities that allow you reach newer areas. Considering you're a Metroid fan, I'm guessing you'd probably enjoy that. So, yeah, I definitely recommend those. Unfortunately, they may be a bit hard to find now.
I enjoyed Circle of the Moon, but it is a little more RPG heavy. It uses a card system for battling, and that was just so-so for me. I think you'll like C:AoS or C:HoD more.
You could also try Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow or Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, which are for the DS. However, C:DoS is a sequel to Aria of Sorrow, so keep that in mind. They tell you enough to let you understand everything if you didn't play C:AoS, but it does kind of spoil the ending of C:AoS in the process. Both DS games are pretty good though, and follow the same RPG-like/Metroid-esque adventure of the GBA iterations.

Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge is the most RPG heavy Castlevania game. I don't think that would be a good choice for you ... at least not right away. I liked it and all, but it does have a lot of RPG-elements, more so than any other Castlevania title.

That's Simon's Quest Boogie, Belmont's Revenge is on the Game Boy. Also is Castlevania The Adventure really THAT bad?

I'll never understand how people can deny themselves the chance to play so many fantastic games by being fanboys. I recommend every Castlevania game except for the N64 one. In particular I recommend Castlevania, Castlevania2 Simon's Quest, Castlevania 3, Symphony of the Night, Circle of the Moon and Harmony of Dissonance.

I wanted to recommend Symphony of the Night so bad. It's like the OoT or Super Metroid of the series, in my opinion. SotN is my favorite Castlevania game. And, sorry about that, ZGDK. I didn't confuse Simon's Quest with Belmont's Revenge.

I'm just confused because the story is so complex now. I might just go with the first DS Castlevania.

What's confusing? Castlevania appears now and then and a vampire hunter, more often than not a Belmont, comes to kick Drac's ass and sent him back to the abyss for a few more years. Though some of the games are intertwined, they are pretty much stand alone. @ Boogie: SotN was fantastic, it redefined what Castlevania games are. Thats why most every Castlevania game since follows the same formula.
