Huhm..I didn't hear about the hotels part.  I know they just gave out a bunch of details, but I forgot most of them.  Let's see...

You can transfer all/most of your items AND players from the DS to the Wii.. how they pulled that off on an older game, I dunno...I guess they just really-really planned ahead, but that's what it looks like.

Nintendo can send you new items...ACTUAL new items, that are NOT on the disc, but you download them.  So actual Wii Connect 24 stuff.

I don't know how the city works, but the towns that are connected to it can visit that city even if the other people are not connected to it.  So that's ALMOST like what they described from E3 2006 when they debuted WC24, but not quite what I had in mind.

Confirmation that there will be NO NES games included.

Ehhh..... I forgot I'm on the page this information is on....I guess I'll just copy+paste:

From: GoNintendo(LINK)

Right now, Animal Crossing: City Folk is the topic of discussion

- Halloween has returned to the game

- WiiConnect 24 will send you new items

- the city has a theater that puts on comedy shows

- friends can visit the city while you aren’t there, and the other way around as well

- You are now able to create the front, back, and sleeves of your shirt

- once again, you can take photos, save them to an SD card, and send them to friends

- If you have a friend that leaves the town, the connection will disappear for everyone…just like Wild World

- you can transport your Wild World DS character to City Life to play as them. You can also bring data that represents all of your all of your items/collectables, and then visit Tom Nook in the Wii version to recollect them.

- You can take character data to your DS, move the data to a friend’s Wii, and visit a town that way. That’s for people that don’t have wifi at home.

- In Japan, you can take your DS to a download station to grab the new content for City Folk.

- the DLC is brand-new, not already on the disc

- There will be no NES titles available in City Folk

- There will be no interconnectivity with the Wii Forecast Channel, on real-time in-game weather.

- seasons are still inverted for souther hemisphere

I agree, I got rid of this game about half a year after it released because I was just soooooooo bored with it.  I'd almost agree to getting it again, except that I know it'd be the same thing(and those promotionary items they gave out during the beginning would be gone, fo' shame).

I dunno, I don't feel too compelled to get WW again, but the thought definately is ... neat?  I guess...

I've actually never played an Animal Crossing game.  *shrugs*  Maybe I can convince my brother to buy it, he did get Pikmin back in the day . . .

The microphone sounds lame to me.  I don't really think I want to talk to anyone about what I'm doing in that game.  *shrugs*  I watched the e3 thing with the fishing and it was obviously staged.  Seriously, you're fishing.  It's like watching a fishing animation.  Whoo.

Of course it would be kind of cool just to talk to you guys on it!

Well, if you've never played an Animal Crossing game, you should try grabbing Wild World now. Only if you're curious about it. It's really a lot more fun than it looks at first, and gathering stuff for yourself and interacting with the villagers is neat.

If it doesn't interest you, then don't worry about it though. I mean, there are always those people who aren't into the "Sims-like" games.

It was definately staged, and to use a HORRIBLE pun, even a little fishy, but I think the mic is mostly used for just talking about stuff, the usual 'hey, how are you, what's up' kinda stuff.  It's not really the same as serious games, like Conduit(which is set to use it), where you tell people where to go in Team Battle, or yell at people like a little girl, but instead, you're just sort of talking to one another.

Oh, so it's like the Sims?  Eh, not really my kind of game, but to be honest I've played very few.  Almost none really.    Might give it a try if I see it and have money at the time.  XD

Yeah, it plays differently from the Sims, because you control every aspect of your character, but I mean, it's creating a virtual life, so it's similar in that sense.
