I have this game and have played it. I actually have played it quite a bit but feel like i've have only just scratched the surface.
At first the game seems so overwhelming but once you start playing it... well, it's still overwhelming, but it is fun to play.
I want to get its sequel, Oblivion, on 360.

Oblivion is better. Much better. Only on the 360 and the PC, though. Unfortunately, the PS3 version didn't get all the DLC available to the 360/PC versions. If you're interested, I can point you out to some really nice Elder Scrolls sites

Disagree.  Morrowind had so much more of a better feeling to it.  The opening town in Morrowind had more feeling in it than the Capital City of Oblivion.  The game didn't hold your hand, and there was no fast travel.  Hen, you're tempting me, just with the thought of it, to go back and play it again.

I think you'll enjoy it.  Be sure to think outside the box, and don't spoil it for yourself by the internet.  Oh, and here's a hint.  (Not all mudcrabs are evil.  Especially in the Southern islands.)
