This week (though it may take longer than a week considering how long Starfox Adventures is), I'm going to play every single Starfox game in order of release. I figured it'd be great if I could get other people to do this too. No, not all in one sitting, though I probably could play through all the games OTHER than Adventures (SNES, 64, Assault, and Command) in one sitting, but Adventures just takes too long since it's an RPG instead of a space shooter.

So here's the deal. Start with the SNES Starfox, and work your way through to Starfox Command. You don't have to go through every single available path in those games that have paths (aka: everything other than Adventures and Assault), just one runthrough on the path of your choice. And you don't have to get an emulator and download Starfox 2 because that's not part of this challenge, as it was never officially released. Feel free to post about your progress and thoughts here, and even share some high scores if you get any. Also, this ain't a speedrun. I, for one, will not be skipping any cinematics so I can get the full impact of each game. It'd be interesting to see how long it takes everyone to complete the series properly.

I may even end up repeating this series runthrough right before they finally release whatever Starfox game they're gonna have for the Wii. But eh, I'm bored, and I love Starfox. Hopefully I'll finish the runthrough before I have to go back to school in mid-August.

Have fun y'all!

I wouldn't mind doing this myself, but I'm lacking both Adventures and the DS game, so the only ones I have within my immediate reach are Starfox 64 off of Virtual Console, and I have the GCN Star Fox Assault game(and I could, quote-unquote "FIND" a copy of the first SNES Star Fox, but I'd really rather they just release it on VC).

I wish they had officially released info or actually are making a Wii Star Fox game...it's inevitable, but with declining sales, it's still hard to tell.  I really want something that mimics the SNES and N64 versions though.

Anyway, technically I'm supposed to be trying to beat Megaman 1~8 and MMX 1~6 before Megaman 9 comes out, but I'm not making too much progress on that, and I don't know if I'd have time even to go through N64 and GCN's Star Fox games.....buuuuut I do like them and wouldn't mind playing them again.  (Huhm...a part of me almost wants to go find a used Adventures game again, but I'm not sure...it had some not-fun parts it seems like..)

I can do this with Adventures, Assault, and Command. I long ago played SF but I no longer have it and I haven't gotten 64 on VC yet.
These games are pretty quick and easy to play through (except Adventures which takes a little longer than the others but is still pretty light fare), so I can put my other "currently playing"s on hold. Plus I can play Command at work.
 Anyway, I'm game.

I wouldn't mind doing this but I don't own the original SNES Star Fox. I do however have Star Fox 64, Star Fox Adventures, Star Fox Assault, and Star Fox Command. ^____^
