Hey Technical People,

Does anyone know of anyway (secret hacks, tricks, etc.) of being able to view videos from Hulu or (for an even more technical challenge) from Netflix on Wii?

Please post anything you may know or anything you may have heard of.

If you chip the Wii's DVD drive, you can play regular DVD videos on it. that is, if you're willing to take a screwdriver and a soldering iron to your Wii.
Streaming will most likely be more of a challenge, though if Opera can support flash applets (assuming the streaming videos are like Youtube - flash FLV players), then you shouldn't have a problem. Opera is available on the Wii shopping channel for something like 50 points. (or 500, i can't remember which)

The Internet Channel (which I downloaded way back when it was free) only supports Flash 7. That allows videos to be played from YouTube, but Hulu videos are in Flash 9 format. Unfortunately an upgrade to Flash 9 is dependent on Adobe and not Nintendo, as it is Adobe who has not released the Flash 9 SDK.

Well actually as I said in my last post, it's out of Nintendo's power to upgrade it.

I know there's no legit way to do it. I'm looking for secret, hacking, etc. ways.
