What are some of your memories from any of the Metroid games? ...
Since I'm such a big fan of Metroid Prime Hunters, I'll talk about my moments from that game.

When I was first starting out in Metroid Prime Hunters, I always used the Power Beam's uncharged and on occasion would use the charged attack. My main weapons were always the missiles or sub-weapons, so in other words, I considered the use of the Power Beam as a last resort in combat. Overtime after watching videos of people using the Power Beam that showed off its great potential with burst charge shots, I soon decided to try it out myself. It didn't take me too long to adjust to the bursting charge technique and make it part of my own tactic arsenal. Once I got the burst charging down with the Power Beam, it became my weapon of choice with its effective offensive power. This is and probably always will be my favorite version of the Power Beam.
My first battle with Sylux was very memorable to me. I remember reading about Metroid Prime Hunters constantly up toward release and I saw a picture of Sylux at the Vesper Defense Outpost, so when I got to the territory in the actual game I already had the feeling I would be facing the hunter of energy of hatred and energy there. When I got to him, I still was new to the game as I mainly was using uncharged Power Beam and regular Missiles against him mostly. His Shock Coil wrapping around me caused the outer ring Weapons Complex part of the encounter to last a couple of minutes. When I got him to LockJaw, I got a few hits in here and there, since the alternative form is fast. When I got him into the core of the Weapons Complex, I continued bashing the hunter with missiles and Power Beam shots with the occasional BattleHammer. When the Delano 7 came in, I thought I was done for. Seriously, when I was new, the Shock Coil's leeching with the Delano 7's projectiles raining down on me just felt unavoidable and was epic. I overcame Sylux in a struggle that probably lasted around 20 minutes my first time, and earned the encounter a spot as one of my favorite bosses.
About from my beginning to about my midway point as a player, the Imperialist was my main weapon and weapon of choice. For some time, I had no idea that I could zoom. I would be just standing around firing the regular Imperialist laser at my opponents. Then one time, I just hit the R button. I had no idea what I did, but I noticed that the aiming target got much bigger. I then realized that the Imperialist had the zoom function. Once I knew of this, I liked the Imperialist even more and used it more often. There's just something special about getting that Imperialist headshot auto-kill when you think it's impossible or if it's from a nice angle.
This wouldn't be a post of my awesome moments if I had no mention of the best Sylux I've faced in the game of Metroid Prime Hunters, and that was the Shock Coiling user: FD SharpShot (FD Sharp S). This guy was my Sylux rival for quite sometime in my history, and if I had a camera to record our matches, it would seem as if two massive thunderstorms were firing multiple continuous streaks of lightning at each other. Our matches were decided by the ammo we had for the Shock Coil, as for the most part, that's the only thing we used. I suspect FD SharpShot wouldn't want it any other way, as I wouldn't. The matches were never complete blow outs either: One would usually win by one kill. Data Shrine never looked better with two moving thunderheads producing havoc throughout with threads of lightning. A majority of my greatest matches were with him, and he was the one that made me see Shock Coiling as one hell of a party. SharpShot is to Sylux as LBoogie is to Samus Aran, that's just how much of a rival and opponent I saw him as.
Another interesting rivalry I had was with Chozo_Lord and Weavelgod, and both were the only ones who recorded me playing against them. Up there on my great matches list is my Hive face-offs with Weavelgod. The ones that were the greatest were always the close matches, and of course, I liked matches where I used the Shock Coil frequently. The Missile kill I got as Samus in the recorded match is probably my favorite kill in the history of the game. Unfortunately, one of my great moments against Chozo_Lord was near the end of his run, this being the Kanden vs. Kanden match at Combat Hall. Never has a single match in my history been on such a thin rope, the match was suspense crawling with little room for rest. It all came down to a tied score: 6 to 6. This was my greatest match in my history in Metroid Prime Hunters. Yeah, Chozo, you hold the spot of my grestest Hunters' match.
A guy like me, based on all my theories and thoughts on Metroid Prime Hunters, had to have moments where sudden thoughts just hit me upside the head saying, "IUniverse, you dumb***, why haven't you noticed me!?" Such moments of sudden realization are part of my favorites for the game. Many occur outside of actually playing the game, even so, when I get slapped I get excited. One of my most exciting "being slapped" moments was seeing Gorea releasing a black vapor right before we face him in phase 1. If you know anything about me, it's that I like Gorea and want it to come back (being expanded on, of course) and that I

Metroid Prime Hunters. Another great "being slapped" moment was a recent one, when I realized that there are no Alimbic ships in the Alimbic Cluster; yet, the Celestial Archives has the Docking Bay which confirms that they had ships through several scans. Where are these ships? Oh man, that detail certainly opened the door to several unposted theories pertaining to the Alimbics and Gorea. My favorite "being slapped' moments, that I term the "nut busters", was seeing that each hunter is using a different weapon from their encounters in the Gorea 1 scene and the thoughts I received from the final cutscene of the game, whether it was the ideas that came from the hunters being alive or things that I see as pointing to Gorea's continued existance.
There was a time where I struggled to speed run Metroid Prime Hunters in less than 2 hours. I continuely would play the single player and would always around that mark. It was not until a few months back when I finally got less than a 2 hour completion though at the time it was only 1h 59m. My playthroughs since then have shown lesser times, with the final one being around the 1h 38m mark. The more I go on speed runs with this game, the more I enjoy it. I also thought it was really awesome when I managed to double bomb jump up to the Judicator and when I found a way to skip the Barbed War Wasp swarm battle in the Ice Hive. The game just keeps getting better for me.
One of my matches as Kanden on Alinos Gateway led me to make-up a new technique for him, that I called the Lava Cloak. The Lava Cloak only felt effective to me in Alinos Gateway, and it involves the Stinglarva alternative form. I would go into the StingLarva form in the air above the sea of lava and dive down into the substance. I noticed that the alternative form was completely submerged, and if it were not for the radar or Imperialist, it would be impossible to track. I thought it was a cool technique for the StingLarva.
When I was in Hunters' debates, I decided to perform runs of the single player where I would just play to enjoy it. In these runs, I noticed many details in the game that I had not discovered before. One thing that I thought was cool was the Cortex Chamber within the Cortex CPU, in the room where the BattleHammer is obtained. To me, it looked like a primitive version of a Mother Brain-like mechanism. The details of the Crash Site were sweet too. There were rocks falling from the above ruined structures leaving behind dusty trails and then there were those wondrous golden specks that faded in and out in the air. Just seeing all the swirls making up the Cretaphid chambers made me appreciate the game's detail as well.
I think that's enough for now at least...
