Hmm...If I only had the DS Phat, I would definitely not hesitate about the DSi at all, CC (but again, this is just me).

There's the brighter screens, slightly bigger screens, DSiWare, lighter, more portable, etc. The camera and sound programs are there too, even though you wouldn't be using them much. Not too mention that there are a few little interesting changes as well such as not having to boot down the DSi just to switch games.

I got an invitation from Club Nintendo to attend a DSI event on the 29th because I have platinum status..

I had to rsvp. AND I got a plus one.

I have to print it out and bring my ID with me in order to get in.

O.o

I wonder what all is going to happen at this event?

Anyone else get this?

I haven't taken the time to finish writing stuff on my Club Nintendo account... So I'm only at Gold.

Even if I did get something, there usually is never a Nintendo event (or any others for that matter) anywhere remotely close to me.

@ Hen - Some Platinum Members received the email depending on their location. I think it's just a chance to preview the DSi.

And...I preordered the black one the other day. I'm starting to warm up to it, though I think I'd still rather have white. I think this is only the second time I've ever preordered something.

Yeah, I know a couple other people who got the invite also.

I have platinum membership, but I guess they aren't doing an event anywhere near me cause I didn't get one

I'm trading in some games and hopefully picking up some extra work so this purchase won't hurt my wallet.  As much.

Going with blue.  I think it's an amazing color and because it's unusual to have a blue electronic device and it's all the more reason to get it!

http://i.gizmodo.com/photogallery/nintydsi some shots of the blue.  It's much nicer then I thought...

Arrg,  I need to save money. @_@

UPDATE. Muwahahahhahaha... my trade in's came to 189 XD!  Now to pay 20 bucks and it's mine. :3 Its 199 in Canada and then the tax.

Alright. It's all paid off along with Rhythm Heaven for me to pick up.
My Gamestop is having a midnight launch.

Ugg... I bwoke down and bought it.
So far, I think the new-guy's ok. The aspect of downloads for the system is very intriguing.
I've been having some quick fun with the sound & music feature. Also, the web browser (downloaded) is nice for general browsing much like the Wii counter-part. I'm a little sad that no flash videos can be viewed at this time, however, it's still a decent start.

I decided to wait on it. $170 is still a lot for me with college coming up and everything. From what I've heard, it really won't be worth it until some good downloads come out. I might grab it sometime down the line, but for now I'm good with my trusty phat
