oh man the nostalgia i had with that game as a sixth grader. i can't believe that six years as of yesterday went by when i played smash bros 64 at my friends house (it still works) and it was just epic. man the controller itself was crap, but me and my friends had fun at my friend's house and i played as samus the whole time. oh man, the timing in the battles were priceless and funny! XD i charged beam pikachu (my friend is good) while i sneaked up behind him. Then we played Melee, much better and a bit more funny and confusing. yes, that was my graduation party i got invited into. It was great to play a game that started it all. Oh yeah, speaking of melee, on tournament mode, i creamed my foes by throwing items at them as they tried to get back on the stage of dream land and wow, i have a good aim. night.

Oh, this post is was in 2009... I thought it was posted a month ago. My bad.

Anyway, I haven't had a game night in a long time. My buddies have moved off to other places and several of them got married or are getting married soon.

I was part of a group that played Mario Party (we started with 5, but as the years passed we played 6 and 7 too) for hours. We would order pizza and just spend time together talking, joking and playing games. So many great stories... man, I miss being a part of that group.

My friend and I also had an ongoing feud in SSBM. I would be Shiek and he would pick Fox, and we would have epic battles with no items on Final Destination. Even if I won he would say that he was still ahead of my by one win. Yeah, right.

I need to call those guys and find out where they are and what they are up to. It's been too long.

I LOVE sitting down with a bunch of games with an older system and just going to town with it.

Recently Alex took out his SNES and we (all 4 of us) played through Donkey Kong Country 1&2. GOooooooooooooooooooood times. Hilarious to see the kids play through it and experience it for the first time too
