As you could probably guess, I was counting down the days until this game's release on Wii Ware.

I bought it and beat it in less than 6 hours!

Not...

The game is split into "episodes" and the last episode will not be available until September 7th!  I knew that the game was originally sold in this episodic format for the cell phone in Japan, but I was hoping that the full product would have been available on Day 1.

This is release schedule:

1) Original Download 800 Points June 1st

2) Rydia's Tale "TheEidolons Shackled" - 300 points - (5 blocks) - Available June 1st

3) Yang's Tale "The Master of Fabul" - 300 points - (5 blocks) - Available July 6th

4) Palom's Tale "The Mages Voyage" - 300 points - (4 blocks) Available July 6th

5) Edge's Tale "The Pulse of Babil" - 300 points - (7 blocks) - Available July 6th

6) Porom's Tale "The Vanished Lunar Whale" - 300 points - (6 blocks) - Available August 3rd

7) Edward's Tale "Star Crossed Damcyan" - 300 points - (6 blocks) - Available August 3rd

8. The Lunarian's Tale "The Blue Planet That Was" - 300 points - (5 blocks) - Available August 3rd

9) The Crystals "The Planet Eater" - 800 points - (17 blocks) - Available September 7th

Total: 3700 points

The game itself is a direct sequel to FFIV, my favorite FF game. It looks like it was made in RPG Maker XP, using revamped FFVI sprites, but that's cool. The game is actually a little harder than I thought it was going to be, which is a nice surprise. The encounter rate is pretty high, but since the episodes are so short I guess it was to be expected. The episodes end just like a good cliff-hanger should - watching the credits has been painful!

I'm looking forward to the next set of episodes in July!
