Anyone still play this?  This weekend I should finally be getting a new copy of the expansion, so I'll start playing again.  So if you play, post your host name and I'll add ya when I get started again.  Also include your server.  I think I might be stuck on US-East, but who knows.

I'll probably get started with a Necro again.  I generally like pumping up the power on Bone Spear and Spirit, then having Bone Shield given some decency too.  Helps counter the early stages where it's hard to find decent armor and weapons.  Then maybe I'll make a Sorc.  Once I get a nice backlog of equipment I'll start a Barb or Pally.  Probably Barb.  Never liked making Hammer Pallys, and Barbs it's easy to just pump into the stat modifiers.

My account name there is chiktotneN (i think.. or something like that.. )

You can go on us-west or us east, there will just be different characters is all. You can't take the same characters on both coasts.

I played Diablo 2 a whole bunch around when it first came out, but then kind of drifted away after a while (and characters get deleted after a period of inactivity).
It's a fun game, I just don't really like having to sit in front of a computer to play a game (which, of course, is an issue with any computer game. There are a couple of computer games I like, but I never seem to put much time in with most of them due to that issue).

When I did play I was on US-East, Closed (and did a Hardcore character for a while, until it died, I made a new one, and eventually it died too and then I got tired of Hardcore). As I said though, I'm sure all my characters have been deleted by now. Ah well.

I made a new sorc on USwest. I mostly play when the kids are gone or late night. I don't like to play that type of game when I have the kids because it has not so great consequences if you have to suddenly go AFK without warning.

My sorc is like.. lvl 5 I think. I'd love to play with you, Dest, so let me know when you're ready

This is pretty much the only game Blizzard makes that I don't like. It's like WoW except all you do is click the bad guy as fast as you possibly can. For some reason, I don't find that fun.

Maybe I just had a bad experience when I played it, but I don't see what everyone likes about it.

That's funny, because I'm the exact opposite. Of all the games Blizzard makes, Diablo and Diablo 2 are really the only ones I like (although some of the games they did on SNES under the label of Silicon & Synapse, like The Lost Vikings and Rock 'n Roll Racing, look interesting). Never had any interest in the various whatever-Craft games.
Guess it's just a matter of preferences

Same, terris. I'm not much for strategy and war games but I really dig diablo. Or did dig diablo. I've played it so much I just wish there was a new version. Something smoother, better graphics, more cows.. MOOO!

Did you ever see that thingy (think it involved editing a bit of a file in the Hellfire expansion) to include the "Cow Quest" in Diablo 1, with the guy dressed in the cow suit? I loved that.
"Moo." "I said Moo." "I'm a cow, ok?"

Oh, and, yes, I'd really love a new Diablo game. Hopefully one of these days (or years).
