What do you think ruined the engine this game was modded from, Twilight Princess? It's rushed Wii incarnation created to bolster the Wii launch and showcase the Wii peripheral.
Now here we are again, abusing the TP engine, this time thankfully with no hope, and with that no disappointment, of a complete and flowing story.
I swear, the Wii itself has become FAR more important to Nintendo then they're franchises. Seriously, watch their game commercials. What do they showcase? The games or the system and how IT works vs the content of the game. YES, Wiiplay SHOULD do that, but Zelda or Metroid? Honestly, people aren't going to buy that game because of a few motion controls. It's the established STORY and GAMEPLAY.
Suffice it to say, the announcement of this little "Zelda game" really pissed TTL off.
EDIT: ALTHOUGH, I will say the crossbow is pretty cool. Maybe it'll make it's way into a real Zelda game again.
No, I'm not citing this game, try ALttP. Not sure of Link ever got one, but the guards had em'.
