Anyone else's ears perk up when they saw the messages from Nintendo recently?

USB Keyboard update? User agreement update? I may be grasping at straws here but that leans me towards something to actually USE the usb keyboard for.. FORUM PLS?

I bet the special keyboard would be motion sensitive that comes with a rumble pack. So that when they release PC games onto the Wii, you can shake the keyboard for special effects.

Special Keyboard?  I didn't hear anything about that...(btw, it seems to only be THIS page that has that weird 'blur' effect.  Wonder why).

This update allows most USB keyboards to work, it's not for a upcoming keyboard attachment. At least I hope not.

I'll give a quick look over the user agreement and see if there's any juicy details.

WARNING: I AM NOT A LAWYER! This is just my impression of what I've read.

Most of it seems to be the usual covering themselves routine. The same terms of service I usually see in other things that have network access.

Basically, if your an asshole (Abuse people, threaten people, impersonate a staff member, etc.), do anything illegal (sharing unauthorized copies of games, other generally considered illegal activities which shouldn't really need pointing out), try to access another persons Wii Network account (I'm in j00r Wii, spending j00r points!), post images, music, content, or games that are not your property, or try to hack or otherwise do naughty things to someone else's Wii Network, network access, Nintendo's computers, or basically anything on Nintendo's end of things they have the right to not allow you on there network anymore and, if necessary, follow the proper legal actions.

Also, if you us an unauthorized third party device and/or have modified your system (Read: Modchips), you have voided your warranty and Nintendo is not to be blamed if they release an update that disables the device.

The one thing that does kind of stand out though;

Quote
2. Nintendo is not responsable for anything you say or anything that happens on the Wii Network Service or as a result of your use of the Wii Network service; you alone are responsible.

Rather or not this means that we won't have that "FOR YOUR PROTECTION!" BS if they make a new community remains to be seen. It could just be a general thing and the community has a separate set, saying we're not allowed to share FCs and anything else considered "personal".
