Today is a good day. Sonic was confirmed for Brawl, (release date will most likely be pushed back, but let's focus on the positive ) and I learned that FE is finally getting a DS treatment.

3 images can be found here: http://media.ds.ign.com/media/142/14209935/imgs_1.html

This is not FE11, but a remake of either FE1 or 3. FE1 is the one with Marth, and it was released for the Famicon in 1990. It was remade a few years later as FE3, which retold the original story and then expanded upon it.

At this time, there is no other news to report.

I'm looking forward to playing the original FE adventure.

(What deh..?  A do do bird?  I'm exinct now? Oh crap!)

I played a part of the way through the beginning maps of Fire Emblem Gaiden(Famicom), and that's where I learned that it was a pretty cool game.  Unfortunately when I finally got the first GBA game, it wasn't like it much at all because you couldn't decide for yourself where you moved...you just automatically went from map to map, like a medieval Advance Wars(which btw, why is Wii getting a Famicom Wars if we're getting BWii?  Did Japan just not like BW1?).

It looks interesting.

But really, all I can think about....is that if there is a Golberry still out there, she probably just asploded.  Good night Asploded Golberry...wherever ye are.

This game is looking pretty amazing. Below are other screens showing the difference between this version and the others graphics-wise. The graphics are absolutely stunning. Some of the best 2D I've ever seen. If nothing else, it's certainly a huge leap forward from both the NES, SNES, and the GBA games.

Oh shi I wet my pants. My friend is Fire Emblem obsessed, but I'm not that attached to it. Emblem should be a handheld only, not console.

If Advance Wars DS (made by the guys who make FE), this game will rule. Even though it's a remake, I never played the original so I am very happy.

Fire Emblem's best games are on a console, actually. The SNES to be exact. And they deserve the rating the get. They're awesome.

Anyways, this is just awesome. I can't wait at all... finally I'll actually be able to play a Japanese-only FE freely... ^_^

Were you an intellectual member of NSider's Pokémon board? Then go to the Battle Frontier!

Or were you perhaps a Fire Emblem board regular? Then in that case, go to the Emblem Memories[/url

OMG I've been wanting a Fire Emblem for the DS ever since I tried out Fire Emblem. I don't care which one they use as long as there is Marth (my favorite FE character)!

Looks like they went with melee Marth, lol.
What other Marth would they use the one that looks like he is child or the cool looking melee Marth?

I see a big improvement! Makes me wonder how the other remakes for the DS like FE4, FE5 will do? Maybe the GBA series will get a remake and we'll finally get Maiden of Darkness that features Roy?
