I don't think they do cross-platform....the MIGHT with PS3 and 360, but 360 has its paid service for that stuff, so I doubt even that works really.  I'm pretty sure just with the way everyone(Wii/PS3/360) is set up different that it probably doesn't work.

I know this isn't such a HUGE accomplishment, but I'm starrrrrting to get used to the blue button in Medium-difficulty.  Mostly after dealing with freakin' Slash-battle and somehow doing exceptionally well with My Name is Jonas.  But now that I'm done with the desert concert I'm off to Tokyo, and those songs and Lou's stupid crap are all gonna bury me.  Bleh.  If there's one thing I don't like about this game(aside from a small bit of other things), it's that when the difficulty ramps up, it's usually more than I can handle for a while, sometimes even after that.  There are still songs on Easy mode that give me trouble even after dominating a few songs on Medium.

i know ps2 has Central Station for network stuff (and i dare say the PS3 is the same), the wii has them code things and xbox is xbox live. but i'd have thought if you were going to make a game cross platform, then make the online play cross platform too.
a: "you got GH3?"
b: "yea!!"
a: "wanna play online?"
b: "sure."
a: "what's your handle?"
b: "eh?"
a: "for online gaming"
b: <reels out friend code thing>
a: "invalid"
b: "works for me"
etc.. until they both realise they're on different consoles and they don't talk to each other. makes it kinda pointless doing it cross platform then in my opinion

Guitar Hero III doesn't run cross platform online.

I really want to get it, but I don't really want to dish out $100. It's a lot of money for one game. When's the next time I'll end up using the guitar controller? Who knows?

Price drop? Please?
