You know you're a Nintendo fan when....

I keep my ears perked every where I go for people talking about Nintendo or their products. I've had several conversations at work about it. One time one of the other interpreters was on a call and trying to read someone's fingerspelling "W-i-i" "Why?..." and I was like "It's WEEE" (normally this would be rude for me to say to the other interpreter but we're pretty close and have an agreement to help out eachother like that)  I've also done multiple calls of people calling stores looking for a Wii. Seems like the general pubilc is starting to pay attention to what Nintendo's got going on.

DS aiming at the older population with Brain age, then minigames with well.. bunches of games, then core gamers with Phantom Hourglass

Wii with their sports games, golfing games, surgery games (oy)  soon to be fitness games () zelda, metroid and soon to be other big titles... Seems to me as if they're finally starting to get their FULL act together. I can't wait to see what 3rd party developers flock to the Wii and produce some huge games   I definitely want to see them get their entire ONLINE act together though...

What are you hearing people say?

My  coworkers tell me they're jealous when they see me buying Wii accessories.  We have a fairly difficult time keeping them in stock and that's only gonna intensify as Christmas gets closer. Or worse-- the Wiimotes will be sold out.

There's a lot of interest on another message board (a post-Mormon board <.< ) for the Wii. Most members are old enough to be my parents but they all know of the Wii and several have bought one (or are trying to-- I guess it's harder to find one in Europe). I helped a new Wii owner figure out how to send messages from the Wii message board and all that.   They've all gushed about how fun it is, so I'm happy for them.  They're gamers themselves too, but they kept talking about how great it was to spend time with with kids over it.

The guys at school are mostly happy with their 360s but they don't mind the Wii. We'll see if they have more interest after Brawl comes out, but they're mostly into FPS. *shrugs*

I defend Nintendo not like a ultimate fanboy, but with fair statements.
I don't have a Wii, and probably won't get one ='(

Go on Youtube, and type in "Chad Wardenn". that guy is retarded, I swear.

I don't get out much these days, but Wii does seem pretty popular all the same.  To me though, I still notice one of our local channels USUALLY giving out info about Xbox360 games coming out(read: Halo), and anything Playstation related, but it's usually only negative stuff when it comes to anything Nintendo, even things like "Wii (Tennis) Elbow" and the like.  I never liked that channel to begin with, and they constantly show themselves to be nothing but popularizing whatever's already popular and snubbing everything else.  I think that the typical Sony/Microsoft attitude is still out there, and the a-typical Kiddy-Nintendo(TM) outlook is still raging amongst teens and preteens vying for their sped-up rites of passage.  But despite that, even in this area Wiis sell out quickly, and I even see grandpas and grandmas browsing the Wii section occasionally.

OH, here's something interesting.  A while back I was in Walmart, and they had boxes open and display cases open, getting ready to stock the shelves, and I overheard them as they were going back and forth between aisles, something like "You bring in any more Wiis today?"  "No, we've got a lot of 360s on the truck to bring in though"  "Ugh...I need WIIs..."  "Hm.  We've got a bunch of Wii PLAYs..."

Nintendo is still constantly producing and shipping 'n all that, so that must mean that they're selling like hotcakes.

Well that's what I meant, that they were saying that Wii was still selling and in high demand, and that's why she was frustrated that he wasn't bringing them any Wiis that day.

I think I was there JUST last week though, and they were stocked full...on a Saturday.  I think I was just seeing sort of a 'calm before the storm' possibly...I'd have to check when I go to the store tomorrow to pick up BWii and possssibly GH3 IF any stores still have them, but I'm sure they sold those Wiis that day or soon thereafter.

Chad Wardenn? Retarded would be an understatement. I've seen his vid. >.>

Were you an intellectual member of NSider's Pokémon board? Then go to the Battle Frontier!

Or were you perhaps a Fire Emblem board regular? Then in that case, go to the Emblem Memories[/url

I'd consider myself lucky to see just one Wii being brought to a car from a shopper.
Never seen one in stores, but the dozen people that I know (including uncles and aunts) all have a Wii. I'm just hoping one day they'd be too busy for it and hand it down to me.

I've actually heard more talk about the wii than about the "nintendo game cube".

Instances:

Saw it on Caveman, yes I watched the first episode D:

I also saw it on some other talkshow, think it may have been conan, where they played wii tennis. I was watching Univision (latino channel) and they had a small segmant on their 11 o'clock news about hot new toys and they interviewed some kids down here in Miami, and they all said they wanted a wii (lol...they probably choreographed it or something).

umm....last year, at calle ocho, this huge block(s) party that's uber big in Miami there was an insane amount of wii fans (by fans I actually mean those cardstocks on sticks used to fan yourself), I tried to find the source, but...lol, that place is huge and you try to move one foot, you'll crash into someone.

I also hear alot of people talking about wii in school, and lots of people I know who used to be microsoft fanboys even have wiis. what's ironic is that they used to talk such trash about the ds and the gamecube. so...what happened there? I dunno, maybe they matured, maybe they saw the wii as less of a threat and just let their guards down and accepted it, or maybe they just like the wii.

but umm...yeah, wii is getting popular among the mainstream group. personally, i don't like it, but it's a brilliant business move that's making insane amounts of money. For my hardcore gaming needs, I have pc to satisfy me for a while until I can get myself a 360 or sumthin.

Well, today when I went to get my copy of Super Mario Galaxy I pointed out to someone that the game had in fact come out as he was saying that he thought it hadn't to someone else in the game aisle.  Worked out pretty well because I could just point to it in the case.

I haven't been hearing much just randomly. I was playing the Galaxy demo at WalMart, and this guy walks past and he asks, "You have to use both of those!?!" I was like.....yeah. O_o

The WiiMote is honestly the most comfartable controller that I've ever played it, I don't see why people think its hard.
