all the skins have to be on the server so you can see them working. unless you have apache, php & mysql installed on your local pc or have access to a web server that does, then you can instlal smf and arse about with the themes on there. i can give you the base code for the skin which you can edit if you wish.

Hmm.  Alright, why not?  I might not fully understand it, but if I could at least work through it here and there, maybe I'll come up with something.  I was also wondering about how many images are pointed to, and what each one represents so that if I had to make my own I would know what they were, how many, and what sizes they were(if the code you're talking about doesn't mention them).  Ehh, not 100% sure I'd be able to come up with something, but I'm curious.

these are the initial images that require matching to the colour scheme of the skin.

(smaller versions of above)

the "new" icon not so much, but i figured some skins could have better ones to match or something. the number of images used on the forum itself is an overwhelming number. probably a good 150+. mostly icons, (that's not including the smilies, btw!). it takes hard work to actually spot all the images on the forum. they sit on the skin very neatly, not obvious that it's a separate image. if you want/need later, i'll make up a zip file of all the images actually in use, then you can pick and choose which ones you want to re-do. stuff like msn icons and things won't need changing, but other stuff might.

they're both purple now =X

Also, when you're looking at a board the top right where it says 'last post' is a red X.

ALSO any chance we can fix Thyme's paintbrush?

Thanks dan
