Sounds awesome...  By the way, when you say 'in its own window', will it be coded to actually open in a new window, or in a new tab?  Although I guess that's just a matter of browser preference, huh......I like pages opening into new tabs, but something small like that I'd rather have as a new window(although now that I think about it.....I guess I could always right-click the link and hit 'open as new window' instead)......I think I just answered my own question somewhat...>_>;;

i will attempt to make it open in a new window, the same size as the jukebox page itself. it'll probably be a javascript window.open command, so therefore a right-click open-in-new-tab wouldn't work, as the actual like would go to "#" or may not even be a link per say.
we'll see anyway

and btw the playlist is this big *holds up thumb and pointer finger* on my big screen i can hardly read the song titles...having its own window would be sweet.. or (wishful thinking) being able to open the playlist with winamp would be killer. *picks at nits* It's really cool how it is though I aint complainin.

currently, it'll put 2 copies of the same song. if the filename is identical, it'll overwrite the existing one. it's checks i've not written yet, but something that it will check for when you're adding a song.
what it should be able to do by the end of it all is check to see if the filename already exists. if it does then it'll append like a unique code, timestamp, or something to the end of the file. it'll also check the artist/track titles when you submit. however if it tells you that a song already exists with that filename/artist/title, you'll have the option to delete the upload.

Oh hey Dan...when ya get this.....I uploaded an 8MB MP3 not realizing it was 320kbits, and for a second there I thought it didn't work......so I re-encoded it at a lower bitrate, only to realize that it DID work, and now there are two on there.

So if you want to delete the larger file, that'd be cool....sorry..

About half the time I type in np; at the shoutbox, it takes me to an error screen *inside* the shoutbox (the rest of the page is normal) and fails to insert the Now Playing info. Any idea what's up with that?

Well, the jukebox is now offline until further notice. Whether it'll be back or not, I dunno. All the files and code remain intact, just inaccessible at present.
If it's decided that it'll never come back, everything will be deleted (saves having to rebuild the playlists should it come back online).

As a bootnote, read this article: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/12/31/riaa_cds_copies_computer/
Just showing how corrupt the RIAA is, and how this sort of feature shouldn't be a problem. They don't have a stick up their rear end anymore. They have a whole tree. :|
