if you hadn't noticed, i am a HUGE metroid fan.
the other day I was thinking of all the metroid games and I realized that I have played them all!! From beginning to end!
That's saying a lot, when compared to an even bigger iconic umm... icon? named Mario!
I have missed out on many of Mario's games, and some i haven't finished! XD *looks at Super Mario World and those Land GB games*

Anyway... back in track. Samus has gotten a lot of Suits throughout her Bounty Hunter career!
There's the classic Varia Suit, with the Yellow/Orange/Red color scheme. Then, there is the Gravity Suit upgrade, which is a much cooler (no pun intended) looking suit in my eyes, with blue and purple tones.
Then there is also the much MUCH cooler Phazon Suit with black and gray! Pure Sexiness!
Also, on the GBA's Metroid Fusion, Samus gets the (duh!) Fusion Suit... this one i really like cause it has a crazy organic look to it! That and those fin/spike-like things down her left forearm look really cool!
You dont understand how many times I played through Metroid Prime just to be able to see the Fusion suit in all its stages in full 3D! yeah im a geek like that. XD
Then there are the Echoes Suits. The Dark Suit, which I thought was plain ugly, since it was this brown/bronze and gray shades... plus those shoulder pad things looked like yo-yos! XD
but it was cool, cause it had to keep with the theme of Dark vs Light! So i'll let it go.
That brings me to the Light Suit, which i thought you got very VERY late in the game, late enough to not be able to fully enjoy it. It was alright, and though I really like that sleek look coupled with those curves, i found it a bit bland. just plain white... kinda reminds me of the wii... XD
no, not really. bad joke.
and talking about the Wii, this brings me to Corruption and in my mind one of the worst Suit designs that they could've slapped on Samus. Serioulsy, Samus should now hunt down the Federation for strapping such an ugly looking PED thing  on her. >:|
Though I have to admit... towards the end of the game, the more Samus gets corrupted the cooler the suit looks. it starts glowing all sorts of blue and it looks fairly fresh... though that could be cause i am biased towards anything thats colored blue. its just 'cool' like that. XD
but yeah... if i were to rank them it would go like this: (from worst to best)
Dark Suit
PED Suit non-corrupted
Light Suit
Varia Suit
Fusion Suit
PED Suit Fully Corrupted
Varia Suit + Gravity augmentation
Phazon Suit
Fusion Suit + Gravity augmentation

Well, I dunno myself which suit I like the most.  From time to time I switch up and think differently on things, after liking one design for so-long, I get bored and like the other I guess.

So on that....of course, the Varia-orange is probably my favorite, and it's the one she's known best for......and for that reason, I get tired of it.  The classic standard-issue(standard issue, it was Chozo made!) suit is occasionally also my favorite just because that's the real suit, and honestly it doesn't look all that bad(uhm....I don't see it in your list... ).

Dark Suit DOES look ugly.  But because of the pure 'mechanical' look to it, I almost like it.  It just reminds me how much I dislike MP2 however.

Light suit is kind of good, but looks like it was made by Nike.  I also think it looks *nothing* like a Metroid design, so it kind of irritates me.

I actually somewhat like PED....but yah, not a WHOLE lot.  The scenario really reminds me of Fusion though...she was doing a job for the Federation, should have been paid, but instead she owes her life to their science and ...the whole saving-her-life thing, and has to work for them because of it, and has to get a new suit in the process.  It's this sort of weird 'the tables have turned and you now owe us and the suit is on 'rental' so don't get anything on it' sort of thing.

It was cool to see it gradually corrupt though.  And the way she looked after defeating each Seed, she just looked calm, cold, and heartless, and with each corrupted, resembled and looked more and more like Dark Samus.  If you ask me, she was being 'trained' to become a suitable(keh, no, didn't mean that pun) host for DS, but who knows.

Phazon Suit was cool. Actually PS was probably the 'original' Dark Samus if you think about it.....eh, not gonna debate that.

But anyway.  I typically just like the Classic and the Varia myself...the rest are cool, but a lot of times they just seem out of place....even Gravity Suit, but mostly cuz I don't really care for the colors...I just never got used to it.

...hm.  Makes me wish I still had Fusion and/or Zero Mission ... I took them back tho'.


OH, but yes-- definately a fan of Metroid.  Honestly Metroid is like 'my Zelda', and for that reason, I wish they would have put in a little more effort for MP3, odd as that sounds...it still had a lot of quirks and things missing that bothered me, but anyway.

Um, I have a couple favorites. My favorites are the Varia Suit, Gravity Suit, and Phazon Suit. I'm obsessed with the color purple so the Gravity Suit totally wins me over there, especially the Super Metroid design. Varia Suit is just so traditional and classic, so I have to love it. Phazon Suit is pure awesomeness and it makes me sad I only got to wear it once and for not very long.

The only suit I don't like is the Dark Suit. It just looks weird ... the shape, the colors, and everything. The shoulder pads do look like yo-yos. XD The Light Suit was alright, but it's probably my second least favorite.

I liked the PED suit, but it was extra cooler-looking as Samus got more and more corrupted. Fusion Suit is nice too, but something about it bothers me. I know it's supposed to be more clinged to her body, but it made Samus's proportions look funny. She had these big shoulders (that didn't look so much like shoulder pads) and a bigger head. XD
