Well, up until the other day I hadn't gotten around to beating Majora's Mask, but, I finally took care of that.
That out of the way, I've never been the sort of person who "buys games just to have them and then let them sit there," but, there are still a number of games that I have, which I never seem to give the time that they deserve.
I was working on fixing Soul Blazer recently, got about half-way through it, but then got side-tracked by other stuff. I really should get back to that. Illusion of Gaia is another game that I have which I haven't put much time into which I keep saying that I should, but then I never seem to. Breath of Fire, I have both 1 and 2 for SNES, and 1 for GBA. I had wanted to beat 1 before playing 2, and got right up to the end of 1 for GBA, but apparently I had missed some stuff that I needed to go back and do, and just never got around to doing it. So, that means that I still haven't beat that, and that in turn means I still haven't really given 2 much time. I'm sure I could just go ahead and play it without worrying about 1, but, just haven't. There are probably a pile more, those are just the first few that come to mind.
As far as Chrono Trigger, I doubt it, or any other Square or Enix game, is going to see the Virtual Console, at least any time for the foreseeable future. They're making far more money porting them to and remaking them for GBA and DS (like FFIV, which got a GBA port, and is now in the process of getting a DS remake. Why do just one when they can do both?). Chrono Trigger, of course, hasn't seen either of those yet. At this point I haven't heard of any plans to do anything with it for GBA or DS either (I wish they would, so that I could have it in portable form), but, as I said, I wouldn't count on seeing any of their games (at least their more notable RPG ones. Maybe some stuff like Rad Racer and 3D Worldrunner and such. Maybe some of the other stuff once they've beat them into the ground and wrung them dry) on the Virtual Console anytime soon, if at all. So, if you're waiting to play Chrono Trigger for that, it's going to be a long (and possibly never-ending) wait. It's a spectacular game, and definitely not something to miss, so, I'd definitely recommend going out and getting it for SNES. It's expensive (although not nearly as much as it used to be. Used to be up in the $60-70 range a few years back, it's down closer to $30-40 these days), but, it's well worth it. Still, obviously, that's your choice. Just figured I'd add my two cents to it.
