...for the wii.
i've purchased one and it's arriving ever so shortly. it's coming with wii sports, and i'm trying to get wii play (mainly for the 2nd controller..).

bear in mind i'm not into games like zelda, or adventure type games. just want a bit of fun, games that use the wii's full functionality (not driving games either, i have nfs carbon for the ps2).

suggestions?

The first Super Swing Golf game is pretty decent as far as golf game goes.  Supposedly tomorrow I'll be able to get the "Season 2" sequel, and it's supposed to be much better ... I just don't know when the UK/Euro release date is.  And it's possible We Love Golf might be better, but it doesn't release in NA until March or so, so that'd be even longer.

Dunno if you'd like Golf Games, but I don't play it RL, and I like them on the Wii.  *shrug*

As far as other 'fun' games... honestly even if you're not into adventure games, I'd say Mario Galaxy would be good, maybe.  It's a little complex in some ways tho and doesn't use a LOT of Wii functionality.  And there are many mini-games games, but I don't have any at the moment, so I couldn't really tell you.  Wario Ware's pretty good tho, yeah..

Trauma Center! Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles and that's all I can think of.

I would only get wii play for the extra 'mote.

I consider the following games "Must buys"

Twilight Princess
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Paper Mario
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

If you're made of money, Guitar Hero III is fun.

i have GH 1 & 2 for the PS2. I'd probably get GH3 for the PS2 as well. Although there's a new controller, the old controller will work with it. So I could just get the game disc.
Some good games there people mention. Helps me in my search for good games for this thing. Since I look at the list available and am like.. "well, which ones are any good?" hehe

Mmk, I'm thinking he's more interested in 2 player games, where both players can be "actively" playing the game at the same time.  I've suggested Super Smash Bros, but that didnt really interest him.  Also, the classics, where you have to take turns, not so interested in that either.

*shrugs*  help please?

GCN games are still playable on the Wii.

Do you think you'd like the Super Monkey Ball games?

I think he would love the Super Monkey Ball range...I might get one after christmas.    He really likes Rayman Raving Rabbids, because its cute and you get to throw cows and milk piddies.  So, in theory, SuperMonkeyBall is cute, but I always found it really hard!  He might find it easy though, because I'm a bit challenged when it comes to games like Rayman and the like.  lol

I really love Mario Party Games, so we'll be getting one of those as well.  And, I've promised to get him Donkey Konga.  He like-ah teh bongos.  I've mentioned its like ddr but with percussion, and he went bonkers with the idea.  That and I cant wait to play Rock Lobster again.  God how I love listening and bonking bongos to that song!  lol
