Guys I am soooooooooooooo sick of playing Zelda PH. I still need the last sea chart, but I can't go back to the temple it is soooooooo boring to me! ADHD HELLO NINTENDO YOU DIDN'T THINK ABOUT US 16x16_smiley-sad.gif Yeah I have such a lack of stick to-it-ness that I can't bring myself to finish this game. I pick it up go to play but can't stand the repeating. GRRRRRRRRRRR

Anyways, I'm looking for a new game for the DS. I loose focus easy unless games have a good story. Games that I REALLY LOVED: (these games I finished)

Puzzle Quest
Trace Memory
Mario and Luigi Partners in Time
Custom Robo Arena
Sonic Rush
Sonic Rush Advanture

Games that I enjoyed till I got bored

FF3
Children of Mana
Phoenix Wright 1 and 2
Hotel Dusk
Mario Kart
Zelda PH
Tao's Adventure
Castlevaina PoR

Games I did not like:

Pokemon Pearl
Contact
Mertriod PH
Luminus Arc
Heros of Mana

Now I've had more games this these. The Brain Age, Tetris and such. But I'm not looking for puzzle games. I want a game with some action, story and good controls.

Fav game for Controls: Zelda PH
Fav game for story: Trace Memory
Fav game for action: Custom Robo Arena

This is just so you have a back ground of what I like. I would prefer RPG, but if not then just name a few games. Tell me who makes the game and what the game is about. Give a Link if you can.

Thanks for the help

Oh and I just bought Rune Factory

Huhm...I don't see Elite Beat Agents in there ... was it just not any good, or did you really not play it?  I dunno how you feel about rhythm games, but I think it was really good.

Otherwise I'm kind of at a loss for DS right now.  Great system, but I'm finding myself just not interested in many of the new releases lately.

I played it and didn't like it.  Story sucks! Also I like the button rhythm games a LOT better.  Touch screen didn't do it for me with this game.

Well I'm not an RPG fan ... but I'll try to offer some other suggestions that you may like.

If you like platformers, Yoshi's Island DS is an excellent pick. The story may not be amazing, but it's a Mario platformer, so it goes without saying that story doesn't play a huge role in the game. But the level designs are great and are of decent difficulty, not too hard but not too easy either. It looks a little cutesy, but it's a ton of fun to play. If you played the original Yoshi's Island for SNES and liked it, you'll like the sequel on the DS.

Another game I'd recommend is Mega Man ZX. It's action / adventure game, and plays like the Mega Man X series. It's a little similar to Metroid in some ways, because you collect new abilities and what not that let you explore new areas. You'll plow through levels and then fight bosses at the end. It's fairly challenging, and some bosses might take you a few tries, but it's a great game nonetheless. You can collect chips and buy stuff to power-up your abilities, so it has a couple RPG elements tossed in there too.

You may also be interested in Contra 4. It's a 2D sidescrolling shooter, and you can get different gun upgrades throughout the stages. You can only hold two gun types at any time, though. I will say that if you don't like challenging games then avoid Contra. Enemies are always strategically placed and their gunfire can be hard to dodge as it often comes from all sorts of directions. But it's the basic trek through a level, get to the end, defeat the boss. It's pretty old-school too, since it uses a continue system. If you run out of lives, you use a continue to restart at that level. If you run out of continues, game over, and you start from stage 1. It will take practice and patience to beat Contra. I actually had to play the game on Easy mode first, to get the hang of the level designs and bosses. Now I'm playing on Normal mode, and can only make it to stage 5. It's an awesome sidescrolling shooter though, but if challenging games turn you off, then Contra 4 probably isn't worth it. You can unlock Challenge Mode though, regardless if you beat the game on easy, normal, or hard, and it's a ton of fun. Lots of little quests like "make it to the end of the level in a certain amount of time", or "don't shoot the hostages in the level", "hunt down this specific enemy" and stuff like that.

I guess that's all I can really suggest at this point.

There's a few DS titles I always recommend. I saw you had Phoenix Wright 1 & 2 up there. Perhaps you check out Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations. If you beat the first two, this one closes the storylines quite nicely.

If you want a bargain, check out Feel the Magic: XY/XX or its sequel The Rub Rabbits. They're both short mini-game collections, but they're pretty fun and kooky.

Based on the games you loved, you might wanna check out Dragon Quest Joker. I haven't played it, but the RPG is getting some decent reviews.

I've played the first 2 PW games.  I liked the first, but didn't care for the second.  All cases are murder cases too so that started to get boring.

I was thinking about DQ: Joker, I might reconsider that one.

LB: I have never tried a Megaman game.  For the platformers I can't stand them for some reason.  I really don't know why.  Every time I get a Mario game that isn't RPG I end up trading it in a week later.

yeah, the rpgs on the DS are just beginning to pour... you know, if you were willing to get a GBA game instead of a DS game, then you'd have a HUGE library of kick ass rpgs to pick from...
Golden Sun, anyone?
LoZ:Minish Cap?  i know you grew bored with PH, but MC is more like LttP on SNES than anything else. either way i recommend it.
you could also try the Fire Emblems... though you didnt like Luminous Arc, these games are similar in the way that they are tactic rpgs... but im sure they're different enough... i recommend those as well.

did u ever play Kirby's Canvas Curse? its a platformer but its kinda cool since you draw the path for Kirby to follow...

you might like it, maybe, maybe not

too lazy to get links -_-

Actually I do get GBA from time to time.  I have Minish Cap and just so you know that game is like Rare now! It's $60 for a new copy on Amazon.com and you can't find it in stores.

I can't stand strat RPGs tried sacred stones and hated it.  Have GS 1 and 2, Breath of Fire 1 and 2, FF 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and a few other RPGs for the GBA.

Looks like I might end up waiting till FF:CC for the DS comes out.

Picross DS is loads of fun for puzzle lovers. Also Meteos kicks some major ass in the puzzle department. But since you don't want puzzles, go for a game like Dragon Quest, or Advance Wars DS

I've heard a lot about Advance Wars.

I'm actually considering getting a wii.  So I might just put the DS games on hold for the time being.  I'll wait till I move next week and see what I want to do.

ololol trauam center ololol.

DS is really fun.

Try Drawn to Life. I don't have it, but it looks fun. As in creating. Probably not the gameplay. Really want to make a buff black guy, a hooker or that cinnamon stick from Apple Jacks commercial.

Speaking of GBA games, have you had a chance to play Summon Knight Sword Craft Story 1 & 2. They were both very enjoyable GBA RPGs, esspessially the second one. I would also like to recommend Tales of Phantasia as it was also an enjoyable (and lengthy) RPG as well.

As for DS RPGs, I would recommend waiting for the upcoming Dragon Quest IV remake and Sonic Chronicles. They both sound like they are going to turn out really good.

I hope this helps.
