Knight of Ratatoskr is being released in Japan this spring and should be released across the globe not too long after that. Some key things that piqued my interest: - "Wooing" monsters to become part of your team
- boasting a better battle system
- Namco supposedly took advantage of the graphic power of the wii
Really the main thing that interests me out of those 3 is the monsters being part of your team. You can have up to 4 on your team at a time. You can read more about it all over @ IGN <- clicky Thanks to Mercurian for bringing this to my attention. [/center]

you're welcome, anytime!
Yeah, im very interested in this game! ToS being one of the few and GOOD rpgs on Gamecube, I am looking forward to it! Since this is a direct sequel, i kinda wonder how they will unfold the story... having played other Tales of games in the past (Tales of Destiny 2) i do feel like the setting is becoming a bit stale... you might have read my comment on the shoutbox earlier.... basically there are 2 planets that coexist without having the inhabitants of each planet know about the other.... but since its a sequel then they must already KNOW about the other planet... this could be a much better setting for an rpg than i have seen in the past 10 years... maybe. either way. i look forward to checking this game out in motion, and getting me a copy as soon as it comes out!!

Yea, I admit seeing the same landscapes I am so familiar with was a bit 'eh', but we'll see how it goes. At least they'll look BETTER. I'm definitely going to get this. On release if funds permit. I totally enjoyed the story back with ToS. <.< Which also means I may turn MIA so as not to read any spoilers online when it's new out!

That is great news. I loved TOS. It had a well-developed story and I liked the battle system. This sequel looks very promising especially being able to play as monsters. I'm glad that you can shake the wiimote to do special attacks because I like games that utilize the Wii features well. I hope to see this game soon.

I actually never played a ToS game, yet I have a strange interest in picking this title up when/if it's released in North America.

just letting you know, this is the 2nd ToS game (Tales of Symphonia), there are other Tales of games... they follow a very similar setting, and are also made by NamcoBandai. Others i know of or have played are: Tales of Abyss, Tales of Legendia, Tales of Destiny, Tales of Destiny II This one we're talking about is the first true sequelto a "Tales of ..." game. just making that clear.

Here's a new Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk Trailer! It's from the Jump fiesta in Japan . If this is old, then ya'll faster than me. http://www.jeux-france.com/downloads9310_video-tales-of-symphonia-wii.htmlMan, I love the frist one. I'm still playing it. This one looking to be no dissapointment! Everyone is bad as well, except Kratos from what I seen. However, whether he is in it or not is uncertain. Oh Well, my boy Zelos is back! W00t! And what's up with Emil fighting Lloyd? Training? Conflict? You be the judge! Although I see conflict from that vid!

Ah. Perhaps I should try to play the ToS for the GameCube in that case. =o

Tales of Destiny has a sequel (Tales of Destiny II, or aka Tales of Eternia in Japan, but they just named it Destiny II because "Eternia" was copyrighted by Mattel...). xD There's also Tales of Destiny 2 which is a direct sequel to Destiny.

I cant wait to play this, I've been wanting to get a console to play ToS on, just ToS, so I was all OMG YAY, when I found out that you could play GCN games on the WII and then I really wet myself when I found out about this game...4 or so months ago? I found out about it before I started my job, so its been at least that long. I even gave heidi the article I found about how you can sway monsters n stuff. I just wont have anyone to play it with
