Very nice.

I love Metroid Prime! I know, I know, big surprise.

I do agree that the controls take some getting used to, but I wouldn't say they should have used a dual analog setup. But perhaps I say that because I'm not a big fan of first person shooters. I'm glad that Metroid Prime was able to portray it wasn't in that genre despite the game being in first person view. One reason why I don't like FPS' is because I can't do the dual analog controlling. I'm too impatient to learn it, too. I know, it's lame, but whatever. Anyways, I actually waited a while before playing Metroid Prime because of it being a first person game. But because it was Metroid, I had to cave in, get over it, and play it anyway. I struggled for a while (I don't really play first person games at all) but I'm glad I worked my way through it. It's a fantastic game!
I don't know if you care about this or not, but a lot of the sentences in the review started with "The." It just got a little repetitive and didn't flow as well in some parts. Not really a big deal, but just though I'd share that since it was something I realized.
Metroid Prime is definitely a game every GCN (or Wii, I guess) owner should have. Even if someone isn't totally familiar with the Metroid franchise, he/she can enjoy Metroid Prime just as much as a hardcore Metroid fan. Retro Studios did amazing work with Metroid, and made the transformation of a 2D series into a 3D adventure very smoothly and beautiful!
