Am I the only person on earth who's on the fence about this game? I check the weekly updates, and I'm often excited by the new information, yet I'm not sure that I want to purchase it. I mean, how much different will it be? Sure, there will be new characters, and we'll have online. Online, pfffffft. What a joke. We don't get online with Nintendo. We get "limited connection." Heck, I don't get to know the other person's screen name? Who is going to rape me with my SCREEN NAME?  I like assist trophies, but really, they're just Pokeballs with a new name and no Pokemon.  Some stages are cool, but nothing groundbreaking (well, one had the floor falling through, but you know what I mean...) I'm gonna need to see something solid to get me completely hooked. And by that I don't mean Snake - I already played Metal Gear. They need to have something to really sell me, because in the scheme of things, it doesn't seem too different from Melee. Maybe some details on the storyline will help... |

The biggest knock against SSBB so far seems to be the online mode. I was a little disapoinnted at first, but I can understand why they did this: No rankings. Without a ranking system, there is no reason for someone to quit in the middle of a fight. I don't have an XBOX 360, so I really can't compare the two different online systems. I haven't seen one person who said the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is better than XBL. I do wish that we could trade FCs with people we randomly play with on the internet, and just delete them later if they turn out to be jerks. I guess that sort of thing is common on XBL. I think the system is fair for what we pay. If we had to pay a fee every month for Wi-Fi play, I would be with everyone who says that it should be just like (better  ) than XBL. |

I don't expect it to be that different from Melee, Shin. It's a new version, with online play, new chars, some new things here and there but really it's the same game souped up a bit. If that's not your deal then more power to ya. The way I see it we need some serious friend code networking. That will allow us to maximize the potential of the wifi capabilities with the game. We can do that here  |

Can't believe no one posted about the new update......I don't really like Snake, and I think it's awesome. The only thing that bothers me is that with SO MUCH effort put into Snake(all of the voice acting for one thing....are they going to detail EVERY character in the game, locked and unlocked???), then it makes me wonder/worry whether they've put much detail into the other characters, or more importantly TO ME, do they even HAVE other 3rd Party characters? Honestly, I think it'd feel terribly unbalanced if Brawl was 100% 1st Party EXCEPT that Snake was thrown in for some random reason. You might as well title the game "Super Smash Brothers Solid(SS.....BS?)" if Snake's going to be the only one. I like the way he's going, but if he's it, it'll just be awkward. I know, I'm guilty...I want Sonic in. But I'm not going to HATE the game if he's not in it....I'm just saying I'll be irritated if the only MAJOR "fourth-wall" tearing character is........Snake. One third party character. *shrug* Anyway, small rant aside, I really liked the detail put in. I have to wonder if tomorrow will be just as good....while I'm not a huge fan of Earthbound, I was kind of excited seeing that Nintendo put more effort into throwing in a Japan-only character in the series. So ....so far, it's been a cool week.........I'd just really like to know if there are more third party...  |

I'm loving what they did with Snake. He's turning into an awesome character. And today is the Excitebike. It's not bad, but I don't really care that much. It does show us, once again, that they are really looking at everything as a possibility. And since everyone I know has had to hear it a trillion times, you guys get the same thing: Lucas is in brawl.  |

Does thou feel like changing his words? I'm willing to bet that this morning, as folks wake up, and check SmashBros.com, they're crapping their pants. Part of me wishes that they'd have saved this announcement till November... Make people sweat a little more. Now I wonder what'll be the next whine about the game. Anyways... In reguards to the update for 10/10/07... I'm glad they've done it. I'm willing to bet he was waiting in the wings since Brawl's conception, and I think it's awesome that he's been included. Mostly I liked Ashley's theme. |

It was definately great and definately something I've been waiting for. Although it sucks that they seem to be all-but-confirming a delay in America now...but I'd almost rather have a delay and have Sonic in than not(not that it's confirmed that HE's the reason, but y'know).
I think he looks great......in fact, maybe almost TOO good. The guy was just tearing up EVERYONE at incredible speeds...I'd hate to be the a-typical Sonic-fan, but I'm almost certain that he's going to be my main...:p

Well, I don't own Wii so I'm not that excited. I'll stick to Melee.
