First of all I thought the game could've been 3x harder with harder bosses that didn't take only 3 hits to die. Didn't have a lot of replay value like some of the past games. Soundtrack was very disappointing and I felt like I've done the puzzles before. I'm not saying it was a bad game I'm just saying that for long time players of Zelda it was really easy.

I didn't feel too let down with Twilight Princess mainly because I wasn't really THAT hyped for it. A lot people thought it was going to be the best game ever, but I took a more nonchalant view of the game. I didn't give it any high expectations, therefore I wasn't setting the bar too high or anything like that. Of course, this works for me because I'm not a huge Zelda fan. I do enjoy the Zelda franchise and all, but Metroid to me is what Zelda is to most Nintendo fans.

I do agree though. Twilight Princess could have been a little more difficult in terms of bosses and puzzles. At least they were creative for the most part. I also think the game looked nice, transforming into a wolf was unique and fun, and moving from a traditional d-pad and button control scheme to the Nunchuk and Wii Remote was not only smooth (after some adjustment), but added a little something special to the experience.

I still enjoyed the game a lot though. I just think it was over-hyped.

At first, I was actually disappointed, for many of the reasons Boog mentioned. Although, after a few days and I began to think things through, I came to realize that it was a great game.

I think that initially, I was placing Twilight Princess on a pedestal that it could never reach. Similar to what LBoogie mentioned, I sort of did think TP was going to be the best game ever, which was aided by the tons and tons of hype/delays.

Looking back the game now, however, I truly think it is something special (but, I'm a Zelda fan, so I'm easy to please ). It's not the greatest game ever, but it's definitely high on my list of top games.

*cracks knuckles*

I'm kidding, I'm kidding.  It's late and I won't be shelling off another rant.

Let's just say the "timeline" placement was poorly done which annoyed the OoT fanboy in me that was awakened by Nintendo placing this "after" Ocarina of Time.  Then the fact that the game ditches it's newly created races and characters to go down "Ganondorf Boulevard" yet again struck me as sad.   Then lastly the game didn't use the space it was given.  Too many towns in ruins and not enough to do to warrant the space used.

Disappointed?  Yeah, but not crushed.  It has a lot going for it.  Unfortunately it had SO much more potential that was left untapped.

Oh, and the oocoo save the two you meet can all die in aflame.  Yeah, I said it.
