I like your ideas there, GM.

I could likely muster up a couple teams if needed as well. One for a lower gym and then one for E4 difficulty.

It's pointless to level your pokes to 100 in this generation. Level doesn't matter. EVs and moves do. You should have spent your time on EV's and not levels.
If the problem is understand the whole EV thing altogether I wouldn't mind sharing what I know with you.

I would probably want to be an E4. I can modify the difficulty to whatever we agree upon.

Waterboy (who is a recreation of my very first Pokemon EVER from Red version) was NOT raised in this generation of games. Neither was Marion (my Marowak). Both of them are from Fire Red and were leveled and raised through challenging the gym leaders and elite four in the game.

I HAVE CREATED A FORUM FOR THIS LEAGUE. I've decided it's going to be D/P only because that's what I initially wanted. All those who want to participate need to register at this site: http://thenextleague.invisionplus.net

...Oh. Well I thought it would be more convenient to run this elsewhere. I felt like we'd potentially be taking up too much space here. I'll get rid of it, since I really want you to participate, Hen.

Just wana comment that it's not pointless to raise your Pokemon to level 100.  Sure, everything is maxed on lv. 100/ lv. 50 wi-fi, but that's not the case in wireless battles.  I train my EVed pokemon to level 100 specifically for any people I come across while carrying my DS.  EV trained pokemon are helpless against casual trainers with 85+ level pokemon.  So, although levels aren't useful on wi-fi, they're manditory for fighting friends or other trainers you meet.

Oh, and while levels limit Ep's somewhat, I can still get a 20+ stat growth upon a level up if I work things out right.

^Exactly! What's the point of even bothering with EV training if you can't pwn some random kid with high levels at an event?

Well, kinda.  Ev's are still very helpful.  I could probably beat your entire team with two of my EV trained Pokemon on wi-fi/wireless since they're level 100 as well.  It goes like this, in order of "power":

1. Ev trained pokemon that are level 100.  The best for wi-fi and wireless.
2. Level 100 non Ev trained pokemon.  Can beat Ev trained pokemon under their level.  near useless on Wi-fi.
3.  Ev trained pokemon that aren't at level 100.  Can beat other non Ev trained pokemon ~their own level.  The same as level 100 Ev trained pokemon on wi-fi.

So... WHERE are we doing this? Hen doesn't want to join another forum and I thought it would be more convenient to have everything in one place, especially if I invite people from other forums to join in.

The idea has been brought up that we could have a sub-board in here just for the league. I had wanted each Gym Leader to have their own thread. Would this be ok, Hen?

Sure Kstar. I have ideas for how to organize if you're not sure.

This is *your* thing. You came up with the idea, you've been thinking on it for a while and I don't want to make you feel like I'm doing too much- but I'm going to go ahead and set up a couple things here. Tell me if you like or dislike it.

Also- to everyone - what I set up is tentative. Don't get your knickers in a knot if you don't like it. We'll see how things go.

Sounds like a decent idea. Are there any spaces left? Pretty new here, but I'm a pretty well respected member of Smogon, with a decent knowledge of the metagame, if I may say so myself. =]

I'm sure Hen can back me up on that.
