and with the newest release, comes a whole plethora of new options, the most exciting of which is NINTENDO WI-FI. So why not bring in the new era with a little tournament with some of your online buddies? TADA

We will be hosting a Launch Day Brawl to Begin All Brawls (unofficial title) on MARCH 9TH, the day the game comes out. The tournament will begin at 6 EST to allow for some play time before the event. The rules are normal 1v1, no items, pick your own stage.
This is more a measure of Melee skills and your ability to adapt to Brawl. Regardless, this tournament is mainly just for fun and to see who is the best the first day you play! (And also an experiment for future tournaments...)

That's not all.
We will also host a bigger event on SATURDAY, MARCH 15TH. This will be an all day escapade with THREE different tournaments hosted, back to back to back. These are 1v1 without items, Free for All with items, and 1v1 with items. It is tentatively scheduled to begin at noon CST, but that may change depending on how Sunday's tournament goes!
