Alex and I went and got Brawl pretty much right when BestBuy opened yesterday morning. Ahhh I love outings with him to buy games

I haven't gotten too terribly far in the SSE (subspace emmissary). I'm like... 17% through? We kept dying on this one part... lol

I still feel pretty noobish...      and Alex seems to win 5 out of 6 times.. but I'm sure I'll get better... especially if I can figure out how to dodge better.

So far I like Pit best. He's got some decent moves, he's fast and he can recover from being tossed off the sides pretty well. We still have a decent amount of characters left to unlock though. 5 or so I think?

Maybe I'll like one of the characters we haven't unlocked yet more.

How's your progress?

I got up before dawn (with daylight savings crap, plus being super sick, etc) so I could get my copy from the only reliable game-selling store within 100 miles. But I had a shift at 8:30, so there wasn't time to go home or anything between buying my game and punching in.

I got home at 5:30pm, started the game, jumped right into SSE, and played for a couple of hours. Then I found out I didn't set up the save file first like I was supposed to.

I started over at about 7:30 last night and played for a couple more hours. I'm at 25%... but I think I accidentally put it on Easy.   ashamed;

I'm loving the game, though. =)

le gasp. 90%!

It seems to me that it just keeps gettnig harder.. like, out of my capabilities. I hate that I have to use characters like.. olimar and diddy. Though I did a giddy little laugh when I did diddy's tail whip on people...

We had to 'continue' like 3 times then I was like ugh forget it!

I'll prolly play some more tonight. If I can pry myself away from Fire Emblem ( )

hmm. i am at 37%
for some reason i dont really like this mission mode or whatever...

i know its there to make the game bulkier or whatever, but i just cant get into it.
maybe i should have my brother play along with me to make it more entertaining...

on the other hand, i have been playing just multiplayer, and that is definitely where its at.
my favorite characters so far are Samus and Ike
I also like the Pokemon Trainer, but i dont really care enough to learn to play as him... though I am looking forward to playing as Snake. i must.
sonic, is meh. nothing special.
but yeah. thats how it looks like on my end.

Percentage is hard to tell because it's dependent on how much stuff you collect in-level(I think I have a crown on one or two of them, meaning I picked up everything).

But really, I can't give out how far I am without potentially ruining it for someone else, so I'll just say 48%.  ALTHOUGH, I restarted a file when my brother finally had time to play co-op with me.  I found out the hard way that Co-Op is very....uncooperative.  The levels track only the movement of Player 1(luckily you don't get a 'ring-out' too often, but you'll get whisked away back to P1's position if you're too far away(and weren't smashed that way))...P2 has the chance to select only ONE character, and P1 selects ALL of the rest, and the worst part, if P2 is still alive and P1 dies(and you have zero stock left for P1 to 'take'), then it's an AUTOMATIC GAME OVER.  P2 does NOT continue on...if P2 dies and there's no stock, well and fine, P1 continues....but not the other way around.  I find that baffling really...but whatev'.

In the second-save-file with co-op, I'm almost up to where I had gotten to when I played by myself, so I'm almost sure that if I was playing by myself all that time I might have beaten it already(I'm like 4 hours in on that first one, and about 2 or 3 hours on the other(but moving quickly and knowing more or less what to do).

As far as the game goes overall, pretty cool stuff.  Starting to agree that SSE's gameplay is awkward...SSB definately has more platformer to it than most fighting games do, but it's STILL a fighting game at its heart, and it does make for some awkward platforming/jumping.

I beat the Subspace, but I'm at 87%. I have unlocked all of the characters, and have been messing around with online and such. I don't really have the patience to go back through every level I missed something in for the subspace.

I have beaten SSE at some percentage. However, I don't have all the characters that I am aware of and won't spoil it for ya.
Though, I have to admit, through the SSE, my Lucario's gotten pretty good. I can play at least on hard mode for classic.

I got Brawl on Sunday. Sadly, this is the week I go back to classes (after being on a college break for like 6 months), so I haven't been able to devote a lot of time to it. I work from 7am-3pm, and have classes from 4pm-6pm or 4pm-8pm. But I have been squeezing some Brawl time in...

I've played a few matches with my boyfriend and some of Classic Mode. I also did some stuff in Event Mode and I have like 20% in the Subspace Emissary. I just finished the Research Facility and I think the next place I go to is Lakeshore? So I'm around there.

I'm enjoying the game a ton though and I wish I could be playing a bit more. I've never been that "hardcore" about Smash games, but I'm making a lot more progress in Brawl than I have in the original Smash and even Melee, so that says something about how much I enjoy Brawl.

Of course ... with that being said, I'm not that great at the game. But I can tell I'm already getting slightly better compared to when I was playing Melee. I guess the only way to get better though is to keep playing, go into matches, which will probably result in getting my ass kicked, but that's how you learn. I plan to try online matches sometime this weekend, since I don't have to worry about going to class and have more free time then.

I'm on the last level in Emissary. I have a few bosses to defeat before I complete the mode.

I got the game on March 10th. By now, my brother and I have unlocked all the characters, completed the story mode on easy (we have like 90% complete or something), have all the music, and only have 10 challenges left to complete (and we have 5 hammers). These final challenges are mostly from the Boss Battle Mode. Also, get 400 combos in training mode? How do you do that?

I really like SSBB! We had our first 4-player local play yesterday and it was a blast. If only my friend's spring break had been the same week as mine...

Oh well. See him in the summer.
