What is your all-time favorite 2-D Zelda game, and why?

I'll just go with Link's Awakening again, because it's not only different, but GOOD, and in some ways better than the two other GBC Zelda games(in my opinion anyway).

Well, there are many reasons, but I've listed them many times, and I don't know that I could go through them all again..>_>;

While I'll admit to not really playing much of the 2D games and only through a few, I'd have to agree with Magnus and go with Link's Awakening.  That game was very special to not only myself but my younger brother as well.  We both played around the same time.  He actually beat the game and, knowing the ending, I didn't.  Someday I intend to though.

Although I must say I did very much enjoy the Oracle of Seasons game.  Capcom did a very good job with those two games.  Minish Cap was great, but short.

I really need to play through a Link to the Past someday.  I feel like I'm really missing out the apex, from what I've heard, of the 2D Zelda.

Silly Midna, you should answer the question yourself when you make this kind of thread.

Link's Awakening DX. My first 2D Zelda, in a way. I liked it because the dungeons were challenging... but were still doable without a walkthrough. It's as if they were instinctive, or something...

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is not only my favorite 2D Zelda game, but also my favorite Zelda game in general and among my favorite video games period. It was one of my first games, and my first Zelda game, and I still play through it constantly.

I enjoed A Link to the Past a lot. All the exploring was really fun. But I think my favorite is still the original Legend of Zelda. Some people say I'm crazy for thinking that, but meh. I liked trying to figure out where to go on my own and randomly placing bombs to see if I could find a secret cave or something. I think LoZ and ALttP are almost a tie for me.

My favorite is A Link to the Past. Good dungeon design and I liked the exploration.

Well, I'm not too sure.  2-D Zelda really isn't my thing.  While Link's Awakening was the first Zelda game I actually beat, it wasn't that stunning...  It was better than most Game Boy Color games though.

I did enjoy Oracle of Seasons.  It's probably my favorite.  Collecting all those rings was fun!  Too bad I didn't have OoA to complete the adventure
